Americana Country Living

The client expressed to me that they have lived in their home for several years
and it has never felt like home. She wanted cozy and comfortable spaces for the family to gather. By using her existing collection of Americana accents and her love for antiques I was able to give her  unique spaces tailored to her own design style.

WELCOME HOME MAXON’S!!!

Adding a punch of color in the entry provided the perfect backdrop
to display a few of her Americana accents.

Arrangement of objects is key when designing interiors.
By using a modern layout, I was able to create an updated look.

Personalizing the space with family photos displayed in custom frames.
The bead board matting paired with a weathered frame gives a country feel.

Cozy Rustic Country

I designed a Cozy Rustic Country dining and living space
based off the Client's mirror (pictured below).
By mixing rustic colors/ finishes with
moden elements and  layout I took these spaces
from bland and boring to warm and inviting!

Adding simple window treatments warmed up the space and provided privicy when needed. By using 2 styles of funiture, it provides the space with lots of character .

This antique buffet was handed down to the client
which she wanted me to use in the space.
She also had he matching antique table however
after seeing the client's exsisting dining room table,
I knew by combing her table with the antique buffet it would
create a custom look...
Just what this space needed!

Freeland Photography Children's Backgrounds

I was introduced to Photographer Mike Freeland owner of Freeland Photography  through April McCoy friend/photographer at  Freeland. Freeland Photography is well-known for their amazing wedding pictures. Mike Freeland wanted to provide his client's with amazing in-studio pictures as well. He expressed to me that he wanted the same look you get when shooting a old building or barn. Vintage with lots of wear and tear. I designed and constucted all the backgrounds personally and also provided assistance in choosing props.  Visit  http://www.freelandphotography.com/  to see how you can get your photos taken in front of a KG Interiors custom created backgrounds.
